History
Hi, my name is Alice Mirestes. I first started my involvement in the dog world as a teenager in 1993 with a Scottish Terrier in obedience. In 1999, I found the breed which now owns my heart, the Ibizan Hound. My first Ibizan was Ruffie (Ch Strangedays Ruffienne) co-owned with DaVinci Ibizan Hounds. My attitude towards breeding is about producing a total Ibizan. It is important to me for puppies to be well socialized members of the household first and foremost.
Foundation
Aliki is home to Emma aka Ch Gryphons Stellar Eminence SC the only wire Ibizan to win a Best In Show and Best Of Breed at Westminster. Emma was the number 1 Ibizan in All-Breed Standings for 2004 and 2005 and number 1 in Breed Standings for 2004. She was awarded a total of 5 Best In Shows and 2 IHCUS National Specialties. At the age of 6 months and 12 days, she finished her AKC Conformation Championship becoming at the time the youngest Champion in breed history (in 2000 she was Winners Bitch/Best Of Winners, Best Puppy at the IHCUS National Specialty). She is a proven producer of Conformation and Field Champions,
group placers, and specialty award winners and is the cornerstone of my breeding program. Emma was handled by Rindi Gaudet and co-owned with Heidi Caddell and Patrick Caddell.
Redfaire Ibizan Hounds
Redfaire Ibizan Hounds is comprised of Brittany Reding, Scott Reding, and Emily Bell. Their foundation dogs are MBIF GCH DC Aliki’s By Any Other Name Erised MC and Ch Aliki’s Designated Driver MC. You will see Redfaire on many of the dogs at Aliki as we work closely in our pursuit of producing the total Ibizan.
